Halal Awareness & Research Council (HARC)

Halal Awareness & Research Council (HARC) is a non-profit organization making humble and strenuous efforts to address the growing issues of Halal (permissible) food & beverages with the help of reputed Islamic/Shariah scholars and scientists for the benefit of mankind. It was established in 2009. There have been numerous developments, in every sphere of human life that has raised many questions for the Muslim Ummah and people in general. The new research and development has also affected food & beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, manufacturing, production and services industries.Development of many ingredients and chemicals e.g. Bio-Genetic foods may have blurred the difference between halal and haram (permissible and non-permissible). These issues have become even more complex due to the lack of understanding among the Muslim scientists and religious scholars.

In order to reduce the gap of understanding between the religious scholars and scientists, HARC has tried to develop communication through various seminars and workshops in the following areas:

1.  Change of state and fermentation.

2.  Food Ingredients.

3.  Gelatin.

4.  Mechanized slaughtering.

5.  Vaccination.

6.  Insulin.

7.  Understanding Global Food Standards.

8.  Issues related to polio vaccination.

HARC has been able to collect various Fatawa (religious decrees), totaling 200, from reputed Islamic Darul Ulooms (Religious seat of learning) within Pakistan on various modern issues concerning, raw materials, chemicals and ingredients as used in food and beverages. Slaughtering of animals as practiced in many countries and the Shariah Guidelines related to it.


HARC's OBJECTIVES

1. To collect and study food and beverages standards. To modify the standards in accordance to the islamic guidelines so that true and halal solutions for the problems and issues can be provided.

2. To develop guidelines on the basis of religious Fatawa.

3. To prepare summary of all Fatawa received from various Islamic Dar ul Ulooms.

4. To introduce studies on Halal foods in Universities.

5.   To prepare study materials in the light of Islamic teaching for various organizations and scientists.

6. To take steps for the introduction and awareness of issues for the masses.


Achievements

Alhumdulillah, by the Grace of Allah Subhana wa Tala, HARC has been able to make a humble start in this direction and present Islamic Halal Guidelines for importers, industrialists and end users. These guidelines are based on Islamic Principles which are source of success in this world and the Hereafter. These recommendations have been prepared to help Muslim traders, manufacturers, importers and end users to sell, prepare and use halal products as per Islamic rulings. These guidelines shall also help non-Muslim businessmen to prepare halal foods.

Harmonization of these Guidelines:For harmonization of these guidelines HARC has signed MOU`s with several National/International organizations:

2. Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) Turkey

3.  All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) Sri Lanka

4.  Halal Science Center(Chulalongkorn University) Thailand

5. The Halal Standard Institute of Thailand

6. Punjab Halal Development Agency ( PHDA)Lahore. Pakistan

7. Global Halal Assurance Pvt.Ltd.(GHA).Faisalabad Pakistan

8. Fahmme Halal Organization, Lahore. Pakistan

9.  Center for Halal Assurance  (CeHA) Lahore. Pakistan

HFC signed a MOU with HARC

Professor Muhammad Ahmed Khan (Msc) is the President of Halal Awareness & Research Council (HARC). On 1st July 2019 ,Halal Foundation Center Limited(HFC) signed a MOU with Halal Awareness & Research Council (HARC) at HFC’s head office in Hong Kong. It was a great pleasure to have Mufti Azfer Iqbal,Executive Shariah Member of HARC.

清真意识与研究理事会简介

清真意识与研究理事会(HARC)是一个非营利性组织,清真意识与研究委员会(HARC)是一个非营利组织,在知名的伊斯兰/伊斯兰教法学者和科学家的帮助下,努力解决日益严重的清真食品和饮料问题,造福人类。清真意识与研究理事会(HARC)成立于2009年。在人类生活的各个领域都有许多发展,为穆斯林民族和普通大众提出了许多问题。新的研究和发展也影响了食品和饮料、药品、化妆品、制造业、生产和服务业。许多成分和化学品的开发,例如 生物遗传食物可能模糊了清真和哈拉姆之间的差异(允许和不允许)。由于穆斯林科学家和宗教学者缺乏理解,这些问题变得更加复杂。

为了减少宗教学者和科学家之间的理解差距,宗教研究中心尝试通过以下领域的各种研讨会和讲习班发展交流:

1、改变状态和发酵;

2、食品原料

3、明胶;

4、机械屠宰;

5、接种疫苗;

6、胰岛素;

7、了解全球食品标准;

8、与脊髓灰质炎疫苗接种有关的问题。

清真意识与研究理事会(HARC)已经能够从巴基斯坦境内知名的伊斯兰 Darul Ulooms(宗教学术中心)收集各种法塔瓦(宗教法令),涉及各种现代问题,包括食品和饮料中使用的原材料,化学品和成分。许多国家已经实行屠宰动物时需遵守相关的伊斯兰教法指导方针。


清真意识与研究理事会的宗旨

1.收集和研究食品及饮料标准。 根据伊斯兰教法的指导方针修改准,以便为可能遇到的问题提供真实和清真的解决方案。

2.在伊斯兰教法的基础上制定指导方针。

3.准备从各种伊斯兰Dar ul Ulooms收到的所有法塔瓦的摘要总结。

4.介绍大学清真食品的研究;

5.按照伊斯兰教的教学方法为各组织和科学家编写学习材料;

6.采取措施,为群众介绍和清真意识问题。


HARC取得的成就

在真主的恩典下,HARC已经能够在这个方向上做出一个谦卑的开始,并为进口商、实业家和最终用户提供伊斯兰清真准则。这些准则以伊斯兰原则为基础,这些准则是这个世界和未来成功的源泉。这些建议旨在帮助穆斯林贸易商、制造商、进口商和最终用户根据伊斯兰教的规则进行销售、准备和使用清真产品。这些指导还将帮助非穆斯林商人准备清真食品。

HFC 与 HARC签订备忘录

Muhammad Ahmed Khan教授是HRAC的总裁。2019年7月1日,HFC(清真食品监制中心)与清真意识与研究理事会(HARC)在HFC香港总部签署谅解备忘录。HFC非常高兴能邀请到伊斯兰教法执行委员Mufti Azfer Iqbal。
